Custom Jewelry

Thank you for your interest in collaborating with me on a custom project! I love working one-on-one with clients to create a truly meaningful piece of jewelry that helps you tell your story and celebrate the people and moments in your life that are closest to your heart. Together we will make your vision come to life and will craft a unique piece of jewelry that feels like you and that you will treasure for many years to come (and possibly even pass down as a future heirloom). My process is intimate and intuitive, and my custom work is in alignment with my organic aesthetic. All pieces are made by hand, whether through carving wax and casting it or fabricating the piece using ancient metalsmithing techniques, and they have the beautiful touches that only handmade objects have. I will involve you during every step of the process to make sure we make the jewelry of your dreams. I welcome clients of all genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds. I look forward to connecting with you!

Custom projects may include, but are certainly not limited to:

  • Engagement rings and wedding/ceremonial bands

  • Anniversary gifts

  • Wedding jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bridal party jewelry, bolo ties…)

  • Memento mori/memorial jewelry

  • A celebration of milestones or your journey in life- these could be to celebrate your growth and healing, a significant event, etc.

  • Talismans for strength, protection, etc.

  • Or just a special gift for yourself or a loved one

How Does it Work?

1. Start by sending me some important info:

  • Please describe your desired project and your vision for the piece(s). What feeling do you want this piece of jewelry to embody?

  • Is it for a special occasion or is there a deadline?

  • What is your desired budget?

  • Do you have any inspiration photos or ideas? These can be past examples of my work or photos/descriptions from elsewhere.

  • What metals would you like to use?

  • Would you like to include any stones in the design? Do you know which ones, or do you have any heirloom/family stones you’d like to include in this piece?

  • Where are you located?

2. We will have a complimentary 30 minute consultation via Zoom where i can get to know a bit about you and your lifestyle, and your goals for this project. We will discuss in detail any inspiration you may have, metals and stones we can use that align with your values, your likes/dislikes, your budget, etc. We’ll gain a shared understanding of what you envision and how we can achieve it. After this meeting, a $250 non-refundable deposit is required to move forward with the design process.

3. Within 1-2 weeks of our consultation, I will send some sketches over for you to review, and will send stone options, if applicable. You will let me know which design resonates with you, and whether you want any changes made. I will send a quote for the total price of the chosen design (all options will be chosen with your budget in mind). Once a final design is approved, a 50% deposit is required to begin work building your jewelry (the $250 deposit is applied to the final price).

4. The best part! I will make your meaningful piece of jewelry with love and intention. Once completed, the final payment of 50% is due and we will choose the best shipping option for you to get your new special piece of jewelry. I hope it embodies everything you have hoped for!

FAQ’s:

How long does it take?

Getting custom projects just right can take some time and involves close communication. It typically takes 8-12 weeks, but this can vary depending on the process we use and sourcing materials. I can give you a more accurate timeline once I know more about your project.

Can you use an heirloom/family stone or piece of jewelry and make it into something new?

Yes, I love the sentimentality of reimagining family heirlooms into something that represents your style, and also serves as a daily reminder of your loved ones. Send me photos and more details about the jewelry you have and I will determine if we can use them for this project.

Can you remake one of your designs with a different stone?

Yes, I am happy to re-make an existing design with a variation on the stone, metal, etc. Please get in touch for more details.

How much does it cost?

Custom work typically starts at $1000, but it varies based on the design, process, and materials used. If you would like to customize one of my existing designs with a different stone, size, etc., pricing is similar to that listed on my website.

Testimonials

“Sarah's thoughtfulness and patience when helping me design my wife's engagement ring was really incredible. She took the time to get all the details just right and was able to hone in a style that my wife would like. Really helpful for a guy who knows very little about custom jewelry! The finished product is beautiful and well built. I'll definitely be going back to Sarah for our 10 year wedding anniversary present!” -Ryan A.

“I love the custom opal necklace I got from Sarah Pardee Jewelry. It just is a lovely stone that has been set beautifully. Every time I wear it I get compliments. I love that it is made up with repurposed gold and a small diamond that just makes it a special piece that I will be able to hand down to my family as a one of a kind heirloom jewelry piece. Sarah is also great to work with. I look forward to purchasing more of her gorgeous jewelry in the future!” -Laci S.

“Sarah Pardee made wedding bands for me and my husband. She is creative, collaborative, patient, efficient, original, and such a joy to work with! As two river guides, we ended up with deeply personal and meaningful custom rings that have the texture of river rocks and an engraving depicting the river we got engaged on, with a little Montana Sapphire marking our campsite. It's so special that these are the only two rings of their kind in the world and that they have so much of *us* embedded in their design, yet they're stunning even to those who don't know their meaning. I also have several pairs of earrings made by Sarah because I'm continually drawn to the organic shapes she uses in her jewelry. She's truly a master of her craft!” -Noa B.
